Backstage at Ogden Utah - goofing off for the camera with props from the cheap-toy gag-joke section of the local Wal-Mart ... You'll notice the clown nose [Randy], the phony plastic eye-insert swollen bruise [Rik], the little plastic pile of doggy-doo [Mike] ... but I'm not sure if the thing that Skingley is holding up behind Rik's head is a toy - that might be a real hot dog sausage from the rather creative catering smorgasbord...

From the Forthcoming show on Bravo called "AND - GO...." Here Rik is on set with pals who star in the show- Ian Thomas and Rick Wharton.
Rik is making a cameo( doing his best jack nicholson ) where he walks out of a strip joint with guitar and is stopped by both of these two characters. Ian plays Angus (a musician with one name- like Sting but wears a wig and plays mandolin ..and was bigger in his prime than the Bay City Rollers....) Rick Wharton plays Ian's manager Donnie Scopic. The director Bruce Hunter has just called cut.
Everyone is laughing becuase of the silly location , the pure improvising and the fact the Rik is walking out of the house of ill repute with a guitar ??? Looks to be a fun one stay tuned.

This was a tent gig at a blues festival outside Detroit, July 18, '99 - a two-gigs-in-one-day thing for a promoter down there. It was dreadfully hot, but the red tent sure looked dramatic. Loved this shot, from Mo Hill.

Can't be sure about this one - it's an early shot of my new Pacifica, because it's still got the Joe Barden pickups in it, before I switched 'em out for DiMarzios that had a bit more quack in the 2 & 4 positions. Maybe this was from a Network show for Dave Bott at Niagara College in Welland on March 26, '99 ...?... I remember having a nice clean white shirt that night

View of the concourse at the First Canadian Place gig on Nov. 7 '02. Everybody on their lunch hour, except me, who is singing for his supper. Fortunately, no one threw a stale bagel at me. Actually, in truth, it was kind of a neat gig. Really a different atmosphere.
